"What do you want to be in your next life?" --- Someone once asked me this question.
Here. This is my point of view:
There is NO such thing as next life. Neither is there any after-life.
Once you're dead, It's The END. Period. Either you go into the earth, or (in Singapore's case) reduce to a pile of ashes.
I have no idea why I'm suddenly so agitated over this. I guess I'm just getting pretty close to the brink of snapping from doing things to satisfy the society's reality and people's expectations.
Or is it because I'm pissed by how easily some people can just go like "come on, it's none of my business now" kind of attitude.
I just finished watching The Blue Lagoon, and it sets me thinking how wonderful it will be to just grow physically but mentality and purity of life remains at the same stage. Just like the movie characters.
Maybe I should just trap myself on a small deserted island too. To get myself away from all the filth of materialism in this world.
Or perhaps I already am, but my island did not filter out the nasty things.
Since that's the case plus the fact that I will be reduced to nothing more than just a pile of ashes in the possible decades to come, maybe I should just live life as it is.
For one, maybe I should complete the formality too for my birthday this year. I really don't see the need, but if it's gonna make others happy then this can be considered. (people's expectations) But this needs money to be accomplished right? (society's reality)
