All along, that is ever since I can remember, I always thought that I have already watched 双天至尊 I and II.

Until recently, there was a re-run of 双天至尊 on Channel 8 which I followed almost religiously every weekend, then I realised all I can remember, or rather, all that I knew about the drama was that it starred Li Nanxing and Zoe Tay as the King and Queen Gambler, the glow-in-the-dark dice as the 定情信物, and last but not least, the setting was at the fictitious Coral Island.

So, my obsession for the past 2 weeks has been.

watching 双天至尊 on tudou!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

After watching I and II, I finally understood why Li Nanxing and Zoe Tay are hailed the King and Queen of Caldecott Hill.

Li was really very very handsome in I, of course, he's a bit 中年发福 now... Acting wise, his 眼神 was very sharp, and very charismatic in III.

Zoe, I can't say I find her very pretty, cos in our generation now, the thick makeup and fashion in the early 90s then look very "obiang" now, but she was still very photogenic. Acting wise, I find that her acting then already had a lot of depth, there was one particular scene in II that left me with very deep impression.

(description of that scene is censored because it will be very very looooooooong...)

Seriously, the standard of local dramas since late 90s has been going downhill, the first word I can think of to describe is: shitty! Whenever someone mention local drama classics, most likely it'll be 双天至尊 (of course, and some other earlier productions as well, like the Aiyoyo show...)

Users of tudou are mostly (China) Chinese, and there are quite a lot of comments for this drama.

I'm now on the second sequel, that is III. Man, this has to be the undoing of the legendary classic... It's terrible, compared to the original and the first sequel... III is the only one that was not dubbed, and the general standard of spoken-Mandarin in the show was pretty disappointing.

I have always been a big supporter of non-dubbed dramas, but the only exception is local ones, cos I seriously think local actors should be responsible to the audience by improving their Mandarin, especially their pronounciation, at least Xie Shaoguang and Huang Biren speak good Mandarin...

Aiya, difficult to explain, if you've watched I and II and compared it to III, you'll know what I'm talking about...

Today's the last day of the term, so I finally decided to go and get my hair cut, so that I won't get to meet idiots who see my new hairstyle and ask, "eh, you cut hair ar?" -.- (duh, obviously right?!)

Then again, I don't really like the new hairstyle. Or maybe could be because I'm still not used to it. I mean, who would, snapping off my 4-years-long-long-hair... But I don't have a choice, compared to seeing the bedroom floor covered with my fallen hair, I'd rather look a bit weird now to save them...

And then, there's the "pervert" hairdresser. It's a she, actually. When we were trying to decide on the hairstyle for me, and I've already said very clearly I wanted to cut it short, she kept saying, "不要后悔ar" "没有的后悔de leh". And then, just before she started cutting, she tied my hair with a rubber band, and then held up the ponytail to the mirror and said, "这个没有了leh, 要打包回家吗？". Then after cutting off that ponytail, she even placed it on the shelf (the little "table" just under the mirror), "要拿回家给你妈妈看吗？"

WT?! I already felt very sad having to part with my long hair so reluctantly, and she had to 刺激 me like that! What's worse, when my auntie finally realised my new hairstyle, she said "eh, 剪头发ar? 很像以前小时候的样子leh." Waaaah............

For now, I'll just have to comfort myself: I'll get used to it de....
